John Valencia, President and Chief Executive Officer

As president and CEO, John Valencia brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise software and information technology to Toolwire. Prior to Toolwire, Valencia served as vice president of e-business for Sybase, assisting in integration planning after Sybase acquired New Era of Networks.

Before Sybase, Valencia was president of the Americas for New Era of Networks, responsible for the Commercial, Financial Services and Health Care business units, and 200+ sales and service professionals. The Americas team achieved over $100M in revenue in 2000. Valencia also led New Era of Networks' corporate investment in software startups.

Valencia was also president and CEO of Convoy Corporation until the successful acquisition of the company by New Era Networks. He grew Convoy from 10 to 70 employees, which sold more than $12M in two years. Convoy/DM, the company's flagship product, became the standard for data migration in the PeopleSoft market, and Convoy made the Software 500 list two years in a row.

Prior to Convoy, Valencia was the vice president of sales and marketing for DP Applications, a spin-off from Sequent Computer Systems, focused on providing packaged financial data marts that were integrated with Oracle Applications. Previously, Valencia held senior management positions for a decade with ASK Group until Computer Associates acquired the company in 1994. Valencia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from California State University, Hayward.

Rick Prime, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

As vice president and chief financial officer, Prime brings more than twenty years of financial management experience in both private and public companies to Toolwire. He has helped build start-up organizations into successful companies by instituting all financial aspects of emerging-growth technology companies. He has also raised $90 million in equity financing for three ventured backed companies, resulting in one IPO and two acquisitions.

Prior to Toolwire, Prime was a Partner of Tatum CFO Partners and operated as the Interim CFO of Logilent, Inc. until Toolwire acquired it in May 2003. Previously, Prime held financial executive positions including vice president and CFO of KnowledgeTrack Corporation, an enterprise software company, vice president of finance at E-Stamp Corporation, an Internet company, the financial executive at Divicom, a digital video compression company, and vice president and CFO, PacTel Cable, a subsidiary of Pacific Telesis.

Prime holds a MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in marketing and finance. In addition, Prime has a BBA from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) with majors in quantitative analysis, actuarial science and risk management.

David James Clarke IV, Co-Founder and Chief Evangelist

As Toolwire's co-founder and chief evangelist, David James Clarke IV brings over 20 years of industry experience and entrepreneurial spirit to Toolwire. Prior to Toolwire's merger with Logilent in May 2003, Clarke was founder and chief evangelist of Logilent where he developed the company's learning methodology. An e-learning pioneer, Clarke originated the concept of live, hands-on learning for customers in an anywhere, anytime format. At Toolwire, he has evolved this innovative approach to develop blended learning solutions for world-class corporate customers around the globe.

Clarke is an industry expert in the education and e-learning industries, and is renowned as the author of the Novell NetWare CNE series of IT certification study guides. Prior to Logilent, Clarke served as a technology professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He also was the founder and president of the Computer Telephony Institute, and director of systems integration at The Walt Disney Company. Clarke has designed and built data networks in worldwide corporate sites, and has authored over 34 books in publication.

Clarke has a Bachelor of Sciences degree in genetics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration, M.I.S. from California Polytechnic.

John Catanzaro, Vice President, Engineering

As Toolwire's Vice President of Engineering, Catanzaro is responsible for leading the development of the company's customer interaction platform and ensuring that it provides the robust, secure and scalable environment customers need. Catanzaro brings his expertise in developing and delivering enterprise class systems to the Toolwire management team.

Prior to joining Toolwire in October 2000, Catanzaro served as vice president of engineering for the Front Office Systems division of The Baan Company. At Front Office Systems, Catanzaro led a group of 80 engineers and supporting personnel responsible for the development of CRM solutions that are utilized by leading corporations on a global basis. He also served as director and principal consultant for the client services division of Front Office Systems. Previously, Catanzaro was senior manager of information services at Unisys Corporation where he managed an emerging practice responsible for the marketing and delivery of consulting services to the financial community.

Catanzaro holds a bachelor of sciences degree in economics and accounting from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Juris Doctor cum Laude from the School of Law, Seton Hall University, and a Programming Diploma from the Chubb Institute for Computer Technology.

Cameron D. Crowe, Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Development

Responsible for all marketing functions and strategic partnerships, Cameron D. Crowe brings to Toolwire over twenty five years of marketing, sales management and global business development experience in the information technology industry.

Previously, Crowe was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Insevo, which provided best of breed enterprise application integration solutions for the open systems and Oracle applications markets. There he re-positioned and set company direction, focused the product development process, architected the global distribution strategy and assisted in orchestrating a combination between Taviz Technology and Insevo, Inc.

Crowe served as Chief Marketing Officer at Evolve Software creating the category of Professional Services Automation, developing the company’s strategic direction and playing a key role in raising $25 million in funding while building the marketing and business development organizations from the ground up. Prior to Evolve, he served as Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at Thru-Put Technologies, a developer of manufacturing supply chain solutions which grew to 70 customers before successfully combining with PivotPoint (now MAPICS).

Additionally, Crowe was a member of an executive-in-residence team at Crosspoint Venture Partners and has held executive positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and Sperry Univac (Unisys). Crowe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of San Francisco, and has served on the advisory boards of several companies and non-profits.

Graeme Johnston, Vice President, Channels

As vice president of Channels, Graeme Johnston brings more that 25 years of IT industry experience, predominately in channel enablement and training channel sales, to Toolwire. Prior to joining Toolwire Johnston held the position of senior director of Sales Enablement Services for Symantec Corporation. This role included responsibility for strategy, implementation and operations of systems and infrastructure to support the training and enablement of Symantec's 17,500 employees and 60,000 business partners.

Previously, as senior director of Global Learning & Certification, Johnston managed the teams responsible for the skills development and product knowledge of Symantec's Sales organization and global business partner community. He was also responsible for the review process and ongoing evolution of Symantec's certification program to better support the needs of its partners.

Prior to joining Symantec, he managed training and certification business units at Bowstreet, Gartner Institute, and Lotus Education within IBM. Additionally, Johnston contributed to the national information technology training and assessment standards in Australia as a member of the Information Technology Industry Training Advisory Board and the Australian Information Industry Association Vendor Education Working Group.

Johnston is a Member of the Computer Education Management Association, the American Society for Training and Development, the Australian Institute of Training and Development, the Australian Computer Society and currently chairs the Reseller Transformation Advisor Council for CompTIA.
